Park-Ohio is a diversified industrial company with $1.60 billion of 2025 sales in three segments. Supply Technologies ($747.5M of sales, $72.3M segment operating income) runs outsourced "Total Supply Management" programs: it buys, stocks and delivers more than 280,000 production components to customers' factory floors from about 80 logistics service centers, usually under sole-source arrangements, and it also makes specialty fasteners. Assembly Components ($380.6M, $19.1M) makes fuel rails, fuel filler pipes and rubber and plastic hose assemblies, mostly for vehicle makers. Engineered Products ($471.0M, $6.6M) builds induction heating and melting systems, pipe-threading equipment and forged and machined parts for aerospace, defense and rail. The company sold its Aluminum Products business in December 2023, so figures from 2020 onward are for the continuing business; 2016-2019 figures include the business that was later sold. How we measure earnings. We start from operating cash flow, strip out swings in receivables, inventory, prepaid items and payables, deduct stock compensation, and deduct capital spending except the small part that funded sales growth (about 2.1% of each year's sales increase). Non-cash items such as the $8.9M write-down of the Arkansas forging assets in 2025 are added back automatically. Because the company carries a lot of debt, we value the business before interest and then subtract what it owes. On that basis the business produced: 2016 $52M, 2017 $68M, 2018 $75M, 2019 $62M, 2020 $43M, 2021 $11M, 2022 $36M, 2023 $83M, 2024 $65M, 2025 $50M. After interest, owners' earnings per share ranged from -$1.44 (2021) to $3.36 (2018), and were $0.67 in 2025. This is a cyclical business, so we use a full decade. The ten-year median is $57M; the six continuing-operations years alone give $46M, but that window includes the 2020 pandemic slump and the 2021-22 supply-chain and inflation squeeze. We use $55M a year, about $3.87 per share on 14.2M diluted shares, as the normal level. Per-share cash flow has not grown over the decade even though the company spent about $159M on acquisitions from 2016 through 2024 and issued about 1.04M new shares in 2024, so no case gives credit for growth from future acquisitions. Recent trend. Pre-interest cash flow fell 23% in 2025 (from $64.5M to $49.6M) and owners' earnings fell 47%. The base case assumes $52M for the next year, which is above 2025. The reason is the first two quarters of 2026: sales rose 3.8% in the first quarter and 10% in the second ($861.1M for the half against $805.5M), operating income rose in both quarters ($44.2M against $39.0M for the half), and cash flow before working-capital swings was $38.8M against $37.2M. Debt. At June 30, 2026 the company owed $665.9M: $350M of 8.5% senior secured notes due July 31, 2030, a revolving credit line maturing July 17, 2030 (drawn $257.4M at a 5.19% rate at year-end 2025), plus finance leases and other loans. It held $48.3M of cash. Because the notes cost well above 6%, we add about $29M for their extra cost to maturity and take off about $8M for the cheaper bank line, for net debt of about $641M. The notes were quoted above their $350M face value at year-end 2025 ($360.8M), which shows lenders were not worried. The bank line has a coverage test that only applies if availability falls below $50.6M; availability was $126.1M at year-end 2025. Interest expense was $47.5M in 2025, so in a normal year the business covers its interest only modestly. We give no value to the $93.7M surplus in the company's pension plans. Base case ($13.76 per share). $52M next year, then $55M a year flat through year 10. After that, Supply Technologies and Engineered Products (about 80% of earning power) continue at that level with no growth. Two facts support this. The average tenure of the top 50 Supply Technologies customers is more than ten years. And about 49% of induction-heating revenue comes from replacement parts and field service for the company's own installed equipment. The Assembly Components share fades to zero over years 11-20, because its products serve combustion engines and its five largest customers take 53% of its sales. Business value is about $836M; less $641M of net debt leaves about $195M, or $13.76 per share. Bear case (-$13.54 per share). Normal earning power is the continuing-business median of $46M. Assembly Components shrinks to nothing within ten years: its sales already fell from $427.8M in 2023 to $380.6M in 2025 and its margin fell from 7.8% to 5.0%. The rest of the business holds about $37M a year through year 20, then fades to zero by year 30 as the sole-source relationships erode; the five largest Supply Technologies customers are 36% of that segment. When both the notes and the bank line come due in July 2030, they are refinanced at 8.5% across all the debt, matching the step-up from 6.625% to 8.5% in the 2025 refinancing. That adds about $53M of cost. The business is worth about $502M against roughly $694M of debt and extra financing cost, so the company would owe about $190M more than it is worth. Bull case ($29.10 per share). Pre-interest cash flow returns to about $70M by year 3, close to the levels the company has already reached (2018 $75M, 2023 $83M), and holds through year 10. After that the same long-run structure as the base case applies. Business value is about $1,054M, leaving about $413M, or $29.10 per share, after debt. Because the debt is roughly three-quarters of the business's value in the base case, small changes in earning power cause large changes in the value of the shares: every $5M a year of lasting cash flow is worth about $5.90 per share. The main risks are capital spending, which rose to $40.3M in 2025 and $23.5M in the first half of 2026 (a lasting step-up would lower every case), weakness in the forging business, where goodwill-test headroom was only about 15%, and the single July 2030 maturity date for nearly all the debt. Changes since our previous analysis. We previously valued the shares at zero in the base and bear cases and $9.21 in the bull case. Three things changed. We now discount every company at the same 6% rather than at a risk-adjusted rate of up to 11.5%. We now deduct only maintenance capital spending, not total capital spending. And we now value the business before interest and subtract the debt, giving the long sole-source customer tenures and the installed-equipment service base credit beyond year ten. The 2026 results were mixed: sales and operating income improved, but capital spending and debt both rose. Margin-of-safety price. The 10th-percentile outcome wipes out the equity, and the gap between the cases is wide, so the margin-of-safety price sits at a large discount to the base case. The margin-of-safety price is $7.00: from that price, if the shares reached the base-case value within three years, the base case implies more than 25% a year before the $0.50 annual dividend. That leaves room for the real chance of a much worse outcome while still meeting a 20% target.

Sales geography
United States about 57% of sales (no regional breakdown disclosed); the rest mainly from customers' manufacturing sites in Europe, Mexico, Canada and Asia, with induction heating and pipe-threading equipment also sold into Latin America and Africa.
Historical growth strategy
Has grown mainly through a steady run of tuck-in acquisitions, with cash spent on acquisitions in most years from 2014 through 2024 (most recently EMA Indutec GmbH in 2024). These were funded largely with borrowings and, in 2024, new equity. It also wins new sole-source supply-management programs and new vehicle-component programs. Results are managed through plant consolidations and restructuring, and weaker businesses are divested, as with the Aluminum Products sale in December 2023.
Chart analysis
A chartist would see a strong uptrend over the past year: the stock has more than doubled from its 52-week low of $18.06 to a high of $53.30. After a sharp summer advance from the mid-$30s in early July 2026 to above $52, the price pulled back and moved sideways in the mid-$40s through September, and it was near $47 at the start of October. That looks like a consolidation below resistance in the low $50s, with the mid-$40s acting as near-term support. A decisive break above the highs would signal the trend is continuing, while a drop back into the $30s would suggest the rally has run its course.
