Genpact runs finance, accounting, procurement, customer-service, insurance-claims and similar back-office operations for large companies under multi-year master service agreements, and increasingly sells data, analytics and AI work alongside them. It reports two lines: Core Business Services ($3.88 billion of 2025 revenue, 76%), the traditional operations work, and Advanced Technology Solutions ($1.20 billion, 24%). Clients are mainly large companies in the United States and Europe, and most of the work is delivered from centers in India, with further centers in the Philippines, China, Eastern Europe and Latin America. The top five clients provided 15.2% of 2025 revenue and the top twenty provided 34.4%. What the business earns. We measure the cash the business produces for its owners each year: operating cash flow with short-term swings in receivables and payables stripped out, less stock-based pay (treated as a real cost), less the capital spending needed to keep the business running. Capital needs are light, at about 2.4% of revenue. On that basis Genpact earned $528 million in 2023, $571 million in 2024 and $624 million in 2025 ($2.85, $3.16 and $3.53 per share). Per share, it has risen every year since 2018. Our starting level is $571 million, the middle of the last three years. We start below the 2025 figure because one strong year is not yet a trend, and because provisions for unpaid client bills rose from $4 million in 2023 to $21 million in 2025. Those losses are a real cost even though the cash-flow math adds them back. 2023 reported profit included a $158 million one-off tax benefit that produced no cash, and our measure leaves it out. Amortization of acquired intangibles (about $24 million a year) is added back. It relates to past acquisitions, is small, and is declining. Base case ($53.65 per share). Earnings move to about $600 million next year, a 5% step. That is below the 9.4% growth actually achieved in 2025, and first-half 2026 net income was up 11% on revenue up 7%. After that, growth slows from 4% to 2% a year by year ten. We give credit for growth because Genpact has grown revenue every year since it listed in 2007, including through 2009 and 2020, funded from its own cash with small bolt-on acquisitions. Owner earnings compounded at about 8% a year from 2016 to 2025. We credit only half that rate or less, because the core operations line is slowing: it grew 3.7% in 2025 and 1.9% in the second quarter of 2026, headcount is falling, and some contracts require Genpact to pass minimum productivity savings back to clients. That means automation gains partly flow to customers. The fast growth in Advanced Technology Solutions (17% in 2025, 24% in the second quarter of 2026) is not assumed to continue, because it depends on client demand for new AI work rather than anything contracted. After year ten, earnings hold flat for another decade, supported by long client relationships built into clients' own finance and operations teams (General Electric has been a client since 1997). They then fade to zero over the following ten years, reflecting the risk that software replaces much of this labor-based work over time. Bear case ($23.39 per share). The named risk is that AI lets clients do more with less, and Genpact's contracts pass those savings through. Core revenue shrinks, Advanced Technology Solutions stops offsetting it, and owner earnings fall about 3% next year and 4.5% a year after that, to roughly $350 million by year ten, then fade to nothing over the following decade. The bear case also charges about $20 million a year of extra interest cost as roughly $1.2 billion of debt is refinanced. Loss of one or two top-five clients would fit within this path. Bull case ($83.43 per share). Earnings start from the $624 million already reached in 2025. They grow 8% a year for five years, which matches the company's own 2016-2025 record. Growth then eases to 5-6%, driven by Advanced Technology Solutions continuing to expand within existing clients. From year eleven, growth is 3% a year for a decade, followed by a ten-year fade. All cases are discounted at 6% a year. Per-share values use about 171.6 million diluted shares. Debt is not subtracted separately, because the cash flows are already after interest. Long-term debt was $1.18 billion at June 30, 2026, against $517 million of cash, which is modest next to earnings of about $600 million a year. One item we could not fully explain from the filings: operating cash flow in the first half of 2026 was $49 million, against $218 million a year earlier, because receivables rose by $175 million. The company attributes this to receivables and other working-capital timing. Our earnings measure strips out such swings. If collections do not recover over the next few quarters, that would point to weaker client payment terms or collection problems, and the bear case would become more likely. What would make this wrong: a faster-than-expected collapse in demand for labor-based back-office work, larger price cuts at contract renewals, or the loss of a major client. Any of these would push value toward the bear case. Sustained growth of 20% or more in Advanced Technology Solutions, with core revenue holding, would push it toward the bull case.
