Fabrinet is a contract manufacturer of precision optical, photonic and electronic products. It builds, tests and ships products for customers such as Cisco, NVIDIA, Nokia and Amazon, mainly from large campuses in Thailand. Revenue was $4.64 billion in the fiscal year ended June 2026 (up 36%), split roughly 48% data center, 33% communications infrastructure and 19% automotive, industrial and other. The economics are thin and steady: gross margin is about 12% and operating margin about 10% in each of the last three years, and the company holds about $875 million of cash and investments with no debt. We do not add that cash to the value, because the interest it earns is already in the cash flow we capitalize. How we measure earnings. We take operating cash flow, remove the swings from receivables, inventory and payables, subtract share-based pay as a real cost, and subtract the capital spending needed to stay in business. Growth spending is estimated from the company's ten-year average capex-to-revenue ratio (about 3%) applied to the revenue increase, so the rest of the spending is treated as maintenance. On that basis, owner earnings per share were about $6.50 (FY2023), $8.29 (FY2024), $7.71 (FY2025) and $7.36 (FY2026). Net income per share ($13) is far higher because FY2026 capex ($252 million, versus $68 million of depreciation) was mostly treated as upkeep under this method, and because FY2026 net income includes a $57 million one-time gain on an equity investment that never reached cash flow. We use the median of the last four years, about $7.50 per share, because the customer base and scale (data center and AI-related optical work, Amazon and Nokia added as 10%-plus customers) are very different from the $2-4 per share the business earned before FY2023. The last completed year saw owner earnings per share fall about 4.5% despite 36% revenue growth, because working capital (inventory of $443 million, receivables of $259 million) and capex both surged. Base case: about $88 per share. Owner earnings start at about $7.00 in year 1 (at or below last year's decline; no reason is named for an immediate rebound), return to the $7.50 level already reached in year 2, and stay flat for the ten years. After that we let it decline gradually, 5% a year: Fabrinet has run this model since 1999 and its largest relationships (Cisco has been 13-20% of revenue in each of the last three years) are long-standing, but its supply agreements generally run an initial term of up to three years and nothing we can point to secures earnings beyond that. We credit no growth. A 2.0 million square foot Chonburi facility ($132.5 million, $39.7 million left to spend) is capacity, not orders; market expansion, new products and share gains are not counted. We also did not count the cash or lower future capex once that building is finished. Bear case: about $40 per share. Four customers make up about 57% of revenue (Cisco 19.9%, NVIDIA 16.3%, Nokia 10.7%, Amazon 10.5%). NVIDIA already fell from 35% to 16% of sales in two years (from about $1.0 billion to $0.76 billion), and at Fabrinet's thin margins losing or halving a top customer cuts earnings quickly. We assume owner earnings fall to about $6.00 in year 1 and to $4.40 (the FY2022 level) from year 2 through year 6, then erode 10% a year. There is no debt to worsen this. Bull case: about $124 per share. Demand continues at the pace the company has already shown (data center revenue +41% and communications infrastructure +47% in FY2026, revenue compounding about 20% a year since FY2019), the new Chonburi building fills, and margins hold at the 12% gross level. Owner earnings are $8.00 in year 1 (below the FY2024 level of $8.29), grow 6% a year through year 5 to about $10.10, hold flat through year 10, and then decline 4% a year. What would make this wrong: the loss of a major customer, an in-sourcing decision by NVIDIA, Cisco or Amazon, or margin pressure on a 12% gross-margin business would push toward the bear case. The base case is too low if the customer diversification seen in FY2026 (Amazon and Nokia replacing lost NVIDIA volume and total revenue still growing 36%) proves durable and turns into earnings growth. Amazon holds a warrant for up to 381,922 shares at $208.48 (about 1% dilution), and we did not adjust for it. The FY2026 annual report was used; the most recent quarterly reports were not needed for the level.
