Ubiquiti sells networking products through two platforms: Enterprise Technology (91% of fiscal 2026 revenue of $3.27 billion) and Service Provider Technology (9%). Fiscal years end June 30. Fiscal 2026 revenue rose 27% and net income was $960 million, up from $712 million. Gross margin rose from 38% in fiscal 2024 to 43% in fiscal 2025 and 46% in fiscal 2026. Products are built by contract manufacturers, primarily in Vietnam and China, and the company says it relies on purchase orders rather than long-term contracts with its component suppliers. It also says U.S. tariffs have increased its product costs and may make its past margins a poor guide to the future. How we measure earnings. We start from cash flow from operations and remove swings in working capital, subtract share-based pay ($7.4 million in fiscal 2026), and deduct only the capital spending needed to keep the business running. Capital spending is small, $19.7 million in fiscal 2026, so it barely matters. Swings in working capital matter a great deal here. In fiscal 2023 inventory rose by $487.9 million, so operating cash flow was negative $145.4 million even though net income was $407.6 million. The following year inventory fell by $250.7 million and cash flow rebounded. Stripping out these swings, per-share owner earnings over the last ten years were: fiscal 2017 $3.16, 2018 $2.76, 2019 $3.98, 2020 $5.74, 2021 $10.01, 2022 $6.34, 2023 $6.66, 2024 $6.47, 2025 $11.37, 2026 $15.59. Share count is about 60.6 million diluted shares. The fiscal 2018 figure removes a $103.8 million one-year rise in income taxes payable. Intangible amortisation is not material, so no adjustment for wasting assets was needed. What level is normal. Earnings have moved in a wide range: a strong year in fiscal 2021, three flatter years from fiscal 2022 to 2024 at roughly $6.3 to $6.7 per share, then two much stronger years. Owner earnings per share grew 37% in fiscal 2026 ($15.59 against $11.37). We do not project any growth in any case. Growth from new products, share gains or a still-expanding market is not something the filings lock in, and the company has no contracted backlog we can point to. So each case holds earnings flat and instead varies the level and how long it lasts. We use the median of the six years fiscal 2021 to 2026, $8.34 per share, as the normal level for the base case, because that span contains both a strong stretch and a flatter stretch. This is well below the latest year. Interest is one reason the flatter years may understate today's earning power: cash interest paid was $75.1 million in fiscal 2024, $31.0 million in fiscal 2025 and $5.1 million in fiscal 2026 after the company repaid $250.0 million of term debt in fiscal 2026. We have not adjusted for that, which leaves the base case cautious. Bear case, about $50 per share. Earnings return to the flatter-year pattern, at $6.00 per share, a little below the fiscal 2022 to 2024 range because tariffs and single-source components are disclosed cost pressures. That level holds for ten years, then declines in equal steps to zero over the following five years, because nothing in the filings shows the earning power lasting beyond that. Base case, about $78 per share. Owner earnings of $8.34 per share hold for ten years, then decline in equal steps to zero over the following ten years. The ten years of positive owner earnings we examined, including the fiscal 2022 to 2024 period when revenue fell and then stalled, support the first ten years; we give no credit beyond twenty years. Bull case, about $127 per share. Owner earnings of $13.48 per share, the median of fiscal 2025 and 2026, hold for ten years, then decline in equal steps to zero over the following ten years. This assumes the recent gross margin gains from product mix and lower indirect costs, and the higher revenue, prove durable, which requires that the two latest years are not a peak. Values are per share, discounted at 6%, and are equity values. Cash flow is already after interest paid, so debt is not subtracted, and the company's cash balance is not added on top of these values. Fiscal 2026 dividends were $193.6 million and there were no share repurchases in fiscal 2024 to 2026. What would make this estimate wrong. A repeat of the fiscal 2022 to 2024 pattern, with weaker demand and an inventory build, at higher tariff-driven costs, would push value toward the bear case. Conversely, if the fiscal 2025 and 2026 earnings prove to be the new normal, the shares are worth materially more than the base case. The margin-of-safety price of $45 sits below the bear case value, reflecting that this is a cyclical hardware business with reported earnings that have moved sharply.
