Cimpress operates Vista and several other e-commerce printing brands for small businesses (business cards, signage, apparel, and promotional products through National Pen), plus PrintBrothers and The Print Group, which serve resellers and professional printers across Europe. In July 2026 it added Saxoprint and viaprinto in Germany for 120 million euros. Revenue is split roughly evenly between North America and Europe. Earnings. We measure the cash the business produces after share-based pay and after the spending needed to keep it running. That includes the roughly $60 to $67 million a year Cimpress spends developing its websites and software, which we treat as a recurring cost of running an online business. Equipment spending in fiscal 2025 and 2026 rose well above its earlier run rate of about $50 million a year; the company describes it as automation and expansion of its North American production network, so we treat the excess as growth investment rather than upkeep. On that basis the business has produced a median of about $203 million a year before interest since fiscal 2021, ranging from about $86 million in the fiscal 2022 cost squeeze to about $260 million in fiscal 2024. It grew about 5% in fiscal 2026. Interest takes about $110 million a year. Our previous figures left out the software spending and did not subtract the debt, so they are not comparable with these. Debt. Cimpress owes about $1.77 billion: $525 million of 7.375% notes due December 2032, a $1.10 billion term loan due June 2033, finance leases, the outside owners' stakes in partly owned subsidiaries, and the Saxoprint purchase, less cash beyond what the business needs. The average interest rate is 5.69% and nothing significant matures before fiscal 2033. If the revolving credit line is meaningfully drawn, a leverage limit of 4.5 times applies. The debt equals roughly ten years of the business's pre-interest cash flow, so the value of the shares is very sensitive to how the business performs. Base case. Cash flow grows about 2% a year for ten years as Cimpress keeps passing through price increases, as it has for decades, then holds steady. We give no credit for faster growth from new capacity. The business, including Saxoprint at its purchase price, is worth about $4.1 billion; after $1.77 billion of debt that leaves about $92 per share. Bear case. Tariffs on National Pen's imported products keep cash flow near $185 million. Then a squeeze like fiscal 2022 and 2023, when cash flow fell to 44% and then 70% of the prior year's level, repeats, cutting it to about $89 million and $142 million in successive years, below the interest bill for one of them. The company borrows expensively to get through, as it did in 2020 when it issued 12% notes, refinances in 2033 at higher rates, and Saxoprint proves worth half its price. Print volumes then decline slowly. The business is worth about $2.4 billion against about $2.0 billion of obligations, leaving about $16 per share. Bull case. The new automation and production capacity pay off, and growth runs about 5% a year for five years, then 3%, then 2%. The business is worth about $6.3 billion; after debt, about $178 per share. Margin-of-safety price. We are fairly confident in the earnings level: Vista is a 30-year franchise serving more than 17 million small businesses a year. The difficulty is that the shares are a thin slice on top of heavy debt, so a 10% miss in what the business is worth moves the shares by about $16. The most likely ways we are wrong are a repeat of the 2022 cost squeeze, tariffs that cannot be passed on, or the new equipment turning out to be ongoing upkeep rather than growth; together these point toward the bear case. At about $45 a share the business earns roughly 10% a year after interest relative to that price, which goes to buybacks and paying down debt, and reaching our base value within about five years implies compounding near 20% a year. Because a real downturn would hand most of the value to the lenders, the margin-of-safety price is set no higher than about $45.

Sales geography
North America (United States: Northeast, Midwest, South, West; Canada); Europe (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria); Australia; New Zealand; India
Historical growth strategy
Organic growth through Vista's online marketing reach to small businesses, combined with debt-funded acquisitions of European print producers and promotional-product businesses (National Pen, BuildASign, the PrintBrothers companies, and Saxoprint/viaprinto in 2026), and steady share buybacks that cut the share count by about a fifth over a decade.
Chart analysis
A chartist would see a sharp breakdown: the shares closed as high as $102.75 on August 4, 2026, then slid steadily to the mid-$70s by early October (a low close of $75.03 on October 1 and $76.35 on October 5), a fall of roughly a quarter in two months with a pattern of lower highs and lower lows. The mid-$70s is being tested as support; a chartist would want to see that level hold and the downtrend line broken before calling a bottom, and would treat a decisive close below it as a sign of further downside.
