Corbus Pharmaceuticals Holdings, Inc. (CRBP) stock intrinsic value fair value estimate & owner earnings analysis

Margin of safety$0.00 ComplexityHigh Updated
Business condition attached to the margin of safety Positive owner earnings from an approved and selling product.
Corbus Pharmaceuticals is a clinical-stage cancer and obesity drug developer with no product on the market and no revenue. Its lead candidate, CRB-701, is an antibody drug conjugate aimed at Nectin-4, a protein found on many tumor cells. Corbus licensed it in February 2023 from CSPC, a subsidiary of a Chinese drug group, for the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Australia. It is in a Phase 1/2 study in head and neck, cervical and urothelial cancers, has FDA fast track designation for cervical cancer, and is being tested with Keytruda. CSPC also runs its own Phase 3 in China. Corbus depends on CSPC to make the drug. The pipeline also includes CRB-913, an oral obesity drug in an early study, and CRB-601. How we value it: we count only the cash the business actually generates for owners, after stock compensation and after routine capital spending. Corbus has never produced any. Owner earnings were about negative $10.11 per share in 2021, negative $9.71 in 2022, negative $10.20 in 2023, negative $4.03 in 2024 and negative $5.99 in 2025 (share counts adjusted for the 2023 reverse split). Cash used in operations was $64.5 million in 2025 and $55.2 million in the first half of 2026 alone, so spending is rising. Stock compensation of $6.3 million in 2025 is treated as a real cost. Bear, base and bull cases are each valued at $0 per share. No drug has been approved, no sales contract exists, and the trial results so far are early-stage data. Under our standards, growth counts only if it is contracted, already under way or the continuation of a long proven record. A possible approval of CRB-701 is none of those, so we include no value for it in any case. We also do not add the $163.3 million of cash and investments held at December 31, 2025 to the value, because it is being spent on the trials and is not an earnings stream. That cash is what funds the company for at least the next twelve months, per the annual report. The outcome is asymmetric: a successful Phase 3 and approval would create real value that we cannot yet measure, and continued losses would consume the cash without any return. What would make this wrong: a positive FDA meeting and registrational path for CRB-701, or an approval, would give named and evidenced drivers to build a case on. The estimate would be revisited then. The margin-of-safety price is $0, meaning no positive price is supported today on owner-earnings grounds. It would be reconsidered once an approved product produces positive owner earnings.
