V2X provides support services to defense customers, chiefly the U.S. government: aircraft and equipment maintenance and readiness, supply chain management, communications and base-support work at 349 locations in 49 countries. Revenue was $4.48 billion in 2025; 96% comes from U.S. government contracts and 95% was as prime contractor. By customer location, the United States was about $2.61 billion, the Middle East $1.35 billion, Asia $313 million and Europe $206 million. The company took its present form through the 2022 combination with Vertex Aerospace, so we measure it from 2023, the first full year of the combined business, and treat 2022 as a partial-year blend. How we measured earnings. We start from operating cash flow, remove swings in working capital (receivables, payables, accruals), and subtract stock compensation and the portion of capital spending needed just to stay in business. On that basis owner earnings were $3.02 per share in 2023, $4.93 in 2024 and $6.10 in 2025 (about $194 million in 2025). We used $5.50 per share as the starting level, the midpoint of 2024 and 2025. 2023 is left out of that level because it carried $32.8 million of stock compensation (versus $11.9 million in 2025) and about $117 million of cash interest (versus $78 million in 2025). Two years is a short window, so we did not lift the level to the 2025 peak. Owner earnings grew about 24% in 2025. We start the base case at flat growth from $5.50 rather than extrapolating that rate, because part of the 2025 jump came from lower stock compensation and interest, which do not repeat as growth. An accounting point that matters. About $91 million a year of amortization of acquired intangible assets (mostly contracts and customer relationships from the Vertex combination) is non-cash and is already excluded from cash flow. The filing schedules this amortization dropping to about $21 million in 2027 as those intangibles run off. We treat these acquired contracts as a wasting asset: the earning power must be renewed by winning recompetes, so the cases below fade to zero rather than assuming growth forever. Base case (about $50 per share). Owner earnings stay flat at $5.50 for ten years, then fade linearly to zero over the following ten. Evidence for holding the level: total backlog of $11.1 billion at year-end 2025 (about $2.3 billion funded, up from $2.25 billion a year earlier), and the largest contract, the Kuwait Task Order under LOGCAP V, is expected to extend through June 2030. We credit no growth: backlog is mostly unfunded, and the company has only two years of history as a combined business. We do not credit new-contract wins or margin gains, as neither has been demonstrated at this scale. After year ten nothing we can name guarantees renewal of today's contracts, so the value fades to zero over the ten years that follow. Bear case (about $21 per share). Owner earnings return to the 2023 level of $3.02 and hold for five years, then fade to zero over the next ten. This reflects named exposures: 96% of revenue depends on U.S. government budgets and can be cancelled, the Kuwait Task Order (9.9% of 2025 revenue, $441.6 million) has a defined end in 2030, and the business carries about $1.1 billion of long-term debt that keeps cash interest high; the term loan's $848 million balance is due December 2030. Leverage is charged here rather than deducted from value. Bull case (about $69 per share). Owner earnings start at the 2025 level of $6.10 and grow 3% a year for ten years, then fade to zero over ten more. That growth rate is below revenue growth in both 2024 and 2025 and rests on funded orders of $4.5 billion in 2025 and backlog of $11.1 billion. It is the most we can defend from evidence already in the filings. What we could not fully resolve. Cash flow includes $49.9 million of payables tied to the sale of receivables (down from $71.7 million), a financing-like feature that can move operating cash flow between years; our working-capital adjustment removes most of this effect, but not all of it can be isolated from the filing. What would make this wrong: a loss of a major contract without replacement, cuts in U.S. defense support spending, or an inability to refinance the 2030 debt on reasonable terms would push results toward the bear case; a run of contract wins that lifts owner earnings well above $6 would exceed even the bull case. The margin-of-safety price is about $26 per share, roughly half of our base value and modestly above the bear value, given the leverage, the dependence on a single customer and the short combined history.
