Vontier sells equipment and software for fueling and vehicle service in three segments: Mobility Technologies (Invenco, DRB, Teletrac Navman, ANGI, Driivz), Repair Solutions (Matco Tools, a mobile-franchise network selling repair tools and diagnostics) and Environmental & Fueling Solutions (Gilbarco Veeder-Root, fuel dispensers and site systems). Sales were $3,075.6 million in 2025, essentially flat since 2021 ($2,990.7 million), so we do not credit any growth. What the business earns. We measure owner earnings as operating cash flow less swings in working capital, less stock compensation, less the part of capital spending needed to maintain the business. Working capital includes Matco's financing receivables, whose growth and collections offset each other. On that basis owner earnings per share were $2.55, $2.49, $2.55, $2.33, $2.60 and $3.19 for 2020 through 2025 (2020 is the first year as a standalone company). Owner earnings in dollars have ranged from about $364 million (2023) to $469 million (2025), with a median of about $417 million. Because Vontier has bought back roughly 13% of its shares since 2020 (169.4 million to 147.4 million diluted), we apply that median to today's share count, roughly $2.80 per share, rather than to the older larger share counts. 2025 grew 22% over 2024, but one strong year does not move the level without further corroborating years, so the base case starts flat. Amortization of acquired intangibles ($74.1 million in 2025, down from $81.2 million in 2023) is added back as a sunk cost; the decay of acquired brands is reflected in the fade after year 10 rather than in the earnings level. Base case: about $2.80 per share every year for ten years, then declining 5% a year as fuel-dispensing equipment and older acquired product lines age. Nothing beyond the record is credited: no share gains, no growth in electric-vehicle charging software, no margin expansion. Value: about $34 per share. Bear case: $2.10 per share, declining 3% a year for ten years, then 10% a year. This reflects Repair Solutions, where 2025 sales fell 6.9% and segment profit fell 12.5%; the 1.8% senior notes due 2026, which will need refinancing at a higher rate; and the 2023 trough in owner earnings. Value: about $19 per share. Bull case: owner earnings hold at the 2025 level of about $469 million, roughly $3.18 per share, for ten years, then decline 3% a year. Value: about $42 per share. What would make this wrong: a further drop in Repair Solutions or in fuel-station capital spending would push results toward the bear case; the 2025 cash flow could prove to have been unusually good; the business could hold up better than the gradual fade we assume after year 10. Vontier's principal markets outside the United States are Europe and Asia Pacific (Asia Pacific was about $115 million of 2025 sales).
