BeOne Medicines (formerly BeiGene; the ADSs trade as ONC) is a cancer-drug company based in Basel, Switzerland after moving its incorporation there from the Cayman Islands on May 27, 2025. It has just crossed from years of heavy losses into profit. In 2025 revenue was $5.34 billion (up 40%), net income was $287 million and operating cash flow was $1.13 billion, against an operating cash outflow of $141 million in 2024 and $1.16 billion in 2023. About 54% of 2025 revenue came from the United States, 31% from China, 11% from Europe and 3% from the rest of the world; the company's long-lived assets are mainly in the U.S. and China. What drives it. One drug does most of the work: BRUKINSA, a BTK inhibitor for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and several lymphomas, sold $3.93 billion in 2025 (up 49%), roughly 73% of total revenue. U.S. sales were $2.8 billion, Europe $596 million and China $344 million. The second product, TEVIMBRA (a PD-1 antibody), sold $737 million. Licensed Amgen products (XGEVA, BLINCYTO, KYPROLIS) add a smaller amount. Gross margin on product sales was 87% in 2025. How we measure earnings. We count the cash the business generates from operations, remove one-time swings in receivables, inventory and accrued bills, and then deduct stock-based compensation as a real cost ($511 million in 2025) and the capital spending needed just to stay in place. On that basis, 2025 earnings were about $366 million ($0.25 per ordinary share). Every earlier year was negative: the company was still building factories and paying for research and launches (on our basis, a shortfall of about $807 million in 2024). Only 2025 describes the business as it is now, so the history gives us one profitable year to anchor on. Our 2025 figure strips out a $191 million working-capital inflow that flattered reported cash flow, and counts only $60 million of the $186 million of 2025 capital spending as maintenance, treating the rest as growth. Proceeds from selling future royalties to Royalty Pharma ($911 million) are financing, not earnings, and are excluded. What has changed since. The first half of 2026 shows a much higher level. Revenue was $3.22 billion (up 32% from $2.43 billion), net income $464 million (versus $96 million a year earlier), and operating cash flow $664 million (versus $308 million). Both quarters were similar (net income $227 million, then $237 million), so this is two consistent quarters rather than one strong print. Restated on our basis and annualized, and deducting the full 2025 capital spending of $186 million (because we credit no growth in the base case, all spending is maintenance), earnings are about $860 million a year, or about $0.57 per ordinary share ($7.42 per ADS). The 2025 year earned $366 million, so the base case year-one level is well above the trailing actual. The dated reason is the second-quarter 2026 quarterly report filed August 5, 2026, which shows the two quarters above; we treat the higher level as reached, not as growth. Base case: about $49 per ADS. Earnings stay flat at about $860 million a year (no growth credited). BRUKINSA's U.S. composition-of-matter patent runs to 2034 (European protection in several countries to 2036 with supplementary certificates). In February 2026 BeOne sued Zydus over its application to sell a generic BRUKINSA; according to Zydus's notice, it did not challenge that core patent. We hold earnings flat for about eight years, then fade to half in the ninth year and a quarter in the tenth, and nothing after that, because we cannot point to sales from a replacement product today. Growth from further share gains, new markets and new medicines is left out because it has not yet happened. Bear case: about $20 per ADS. The higher 2026 level does not hold and earnings settle at the $366 million actually earned over a full year (2025), with a faster fade after 2034 (a quarter in the ninth year, then nothing). The named risks are the concentration in one drug (about 73% of revenue), the company's own disclosure that a rare-disease drug loses its exemption from Medicare price negotiation under the Inflation Reduction Act once it wins approval for a non-rare-disease use, and the September 2024 AbbVie lawsuit alleging misappropriation of trade secrets in the BTK degrader BGB-16673. The company ended 2025 with $4.5 billion of cash and cash equivalents and paid $52 million of interest in the year, so leverage is not the main risk. Bull case: about $90 per ADS. BRUKINSA keeps growing in the way it has: 2025 sales rose 49%, and total revenue in the first half of 2026 rose 32%. We credit earnings growth of 15% a year for three years and 8% for two more, then flat to 2034. Afterward, sonrotoclax (a next-generation BCL2 inhibitor approved in China in December 2025, under U.S. priority review as of the annual report, with patents to 2039) carries half of the earnings level through about 2039. We do not credit the pipeline beyond that or the degrader. What would make this wrong. Upside: sonrotoclax or the degrader could be worth far more than we credit, which would push value toward or above the bull case. Downside: a price cut on BRUKINSA, faster competition from other BTK inhibitors, or a patent loss before 2034 would push value toward the bear case. Because only 2025 is a full profitable year and the first half of 2026 is two quarters, this valuation carries more uncertainty than the history of a mature company would. All case values above are per ADS, and one ADS represents 13 ordinary shares.
