What the business is. Oklo is developing the Aurora, a small liquid-metal-cooled fast-fission powerhouse meant to sell electricity and heat to data centers, military bases and industry under long-term contracts, plus a fuel business (a fuel fabrication facility at Idaho National Laboratory and a planned $1.68 billion used-fuel recycling center in Tennessee) and, through its 2025 purchase of Atomic Alchemy, a small radioisotope business. It is pre-revenue in any meaningful sense: sales were zero in 2023-2025 and $1.2 million in the first half of 2026. It holds no reactor license. Its 2020 license application was denied by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2022, and as of its March 2026 annual report the updated application had not yet been filed. The first powerhouse is targeted for 2028, which the company itself calls ambitious. What the business earns today. Owner earnings (operating cash flow excluding working-capital swings, with stock compensation charged as the real cost it is) were -$18.5 million in 2023, -$46.3 million in 2024 and -$113.7 million in 2025 (-$0.78 per share). Those figures include interest earned on the cash raised from shareholders. Because we count that cash separately below, we strip the interest out: on that basis the business consumed about $139 million in 2025 and about $124 million in just the first half of 2026, or roughly $250 million a year. Spending on building the first plant and fuel facilities ($33 million in 2025, $127 million in the first half of 2026) is treated as investment in growth, not as a cost of the business as it stands, because with no revenue there is no existing operation for it to maintain. We look at 2025 onward because the company became a much larger program after its May 2024 stock-market listing; earlier years describe a far smaller effort, and the 2021-2022 filings under this registration belong to the blank-check company Oklo merged into. What is and is not counted. Every case gives credit only to earnings that are contracted or proven. Oklo has none yet. Its own filing states it has not built any powerhouse and has not signed any binding power purchase agreement. The 12-gigawatt master agreement with Switch, the letters of intent with Equinix, Diamondback Energy and Prometheus Hyperscale, and the tentative selection at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska are not binding sales at known prices. The January 2026 agreement with Meta to prepay for power and fund fuel for a planned 1.2-gigawatt campus in Pike County, Ohio is a real signed agreement and a meaningful vote of confidence, but its dollar terms are not disclosed and it is not a priced power contract, so it cannot be valued. If Oklo licenses and builds plants that sell power profitably, the shares could be worth far more than the figures below. That outcome is possible, but it has not happened yet, so no case includes it. What remains for today's shareholder is the cash on hand minus what it costs to keep the program running. Balance sheet. At June 30, 2026 Oklo held about $3.01 billion in cash and marketable securities, raised largely by selling shares ($1.26 billion in 2025 and $1.85 billion in the first half of 2026). It has essentially no borrowings. Its liabilities of $84 million are mostly payables and accruals already reflected in cash flow. Counting options and restricted stock units, there are about 194 million shares. Bear case ($0.32 per share). Spending keeps climbing as it has every year, from about $250 million a year now to $360 million by 2028, and no licensed plant sells power within ten years. The roughly $500 million being put into the Idaho plant and fuel facilities over 2026-2027 produces nothing of value. The program costs about $2.96 billion in today's money against $3.02 billion of cash, leaving roughly $60 million for shareholders. The business has no debt, so there is nothing owed to lenders, but the cash is almost entirely used up. Base case ($6.08 per share). Spending holds at the first-half-2026 pace of about $250 million a year for ten years. Plant and fuel construction neither adds nor destroys value, and no revenue is counted because none is contracted. The ten years of spending cost about $1.84 billion in today's money against $3.02 billion of cash and no debt, leaving about $1.18 billion, or $6.08 per share. For context, spending grew about 160% in 2025. The base case assumes an 80% rise in 2026, based on the actual first-half 2026 figures, and then no further growth. Bull case ($10.28 per share). Spending returns to the 2025 level of about $139 million a year as experimental work winds down (for example the plutonium criticality experiment with Los Alamos and the radioisotope pilot facility under the Department of Energy's pilot program), and Meta's prepayment carries fuel costs as the agreement provides. Ten years at that pace costs about $1.03 billion in today's money, leaving about $1.99 billion of the cash, or $10.28 per share. There is no debt. Accounting judgements. Interest income was removed from the earnings stream because the cash that earns it is counted directly. Capital spending was treated as growth investment and kept out of the cost of running the business, except in the bear case, where two years of it are written off as wasted. Goodwill and intangibles from the Atomic Alchemy acquisition (about $61 million) are small and do not affect the result. What would make this wrong. On the upside, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission accepting and approving an Aurora license, or a binding power contract with disclosed pricing (Meta or Switch converting to firm terms), would put real earnings into the valuation, and value would rise sharply. On the downside, spending growing faster than the bear case assumes, or new share issues priced below the value per share, would cut the value. This is a valuation of a well-funded development program, not of an operating power business.

Chart analysis
A chartist would call OKLO a classic momentum blow-off. After listing through its blank-check merger in May 2024 and sinking toward single digits that summer, the stock went nearly vertical into a record high in the autumn of 2025 on the nuclear-for-AI-data-center story. It then rolled over into a series of lower highs and lower lows, falling about 27% in the first half of 2026 and later trading roughly 70% below its 52-week high after breaking to a new 52-week low in the mid-$30s. The prevailing trend is down and volatility is extreme. A technician would want to see the stock build a base and reclaim its declining longer-term moving averages before calling a bottom. Until then, rallies are likely to meet overhead resistance from the levels near the highs.
