Odysight.ai Inc. (ODYS) stock intrinsic value fair value estimate & owner earnings analysis

Margin of safety$0.00 ComplexityAverage Updated
Business condition attached to the margin of safety Sustained positive operating cash flow before share-based pay, with revenue from its visual-monitoring platform growing faster than operating costs.
Odysight.ai (formerly ScoutCam) makes miniature cameras and software that watch machinery and report when parts need attention, for aviation, rail, industrial and automotive uses. Its customers include the Israeli Air Force, the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Israel Railways, NASA and a European elevator monitoring provider. Historically most revenue came from a single Fortune 500 medical-device customer. What the numbers show. Revenue was $3.0 million in 2025 and $4.0 million in 2024, but $1.7 million of the 2025 figure was an accounting release of a customer prepayment balance from the medical customer, not new sales. Underlying sales of the monitoring platform were about $1.2 million. Against that, the operating loss was $18.1 million in 2025 (up from $12.5 million), driven by higher sales and marketing and administrative spending. Cash from operations was a $13.7 million outflow, and share-based pay was another $3.1 million of real cost to owners. Owner earnings per share (cash from operations, less working-capital swings, share-based pay and maintenance capital spending) have been negative every year we can compare: about -$1.61 (2021), -$1.34 (2022), -$1.22 (2023), -$0.92 (2024) and -$0.89 (2025). The improvement in the per-share figure came mostly from a larger share count, not smaller losses. Cases. In all three cases we credit only what is already secured or proven. The company reports a backlog of about $13.8 million of purchase orders and firm commitments (down from about $15 million a year earlier), but the filing notes that orders can be cancelled or rescheduled, and even at the company's recent gross margin of roughly 29% on revenue (2025 gross profit was $871,000) that backlog would produce a few million dollars of gross profit against annual operating costs above $18 million. Nothing named and evidenced today turns that into positive owner earnings. Bear, base and bull are therefore each valued at $0 per share. The company has no meaningful debt driving the bear case; the concern is simply that the earning power we can see is negative. Growth in platform sales, new defense or rail programs, and the European subsidiary are plans, not signed results, so they are left out. Cash. The company held about $26 million of cash at the end of 2025 after raising about $23.7 million gross in a February 2025 offering at $6.50 per share, and it states this funds operations for at least the next 12 months. We do not add that cash to our value, because at the current burn rate it is being consumed by losses, and our approach values ongoing earning power. A reader who prefers to count the cash would see a value equal to what remains at the end of the burn, which the losses steadily erode. What would make this wrong. If platform revenue scales quickly enough to cover a cost base that is now roughly six times gross profit, or if the backlog converts at much higher margins than the past record, the business would deserve a positive value. That has not happened yet. Patents in Europe covering its core technology were finally revoked in 2025, and the company's operations and staff are in Israel, where the ongoing war and regional military conflict are disclosed as a risk. The company also noted it must keep meeting Nasdaq listing requirements after its February 2025 listing. The margin-of-safety price is $0 until operating cash flow turns positive on a sustained basis.
