Emerson Radio licenses the Emerson brand and sells Emerson-branded microwave ovens and other houseware and audio products. The products are made by suppliers in China and sold in the United States, mostly online through Amazon (42% of fiscal 2026 revenue) and through retailers such as Fred Meyer (13%). Two brand licensees add about $0.4 million a year. About 72% of the shares are held by Nimble Holdings, a Hong Kong-based group; the company's customers and cash are in the United States. What the shares represent. The shares are mostly a claim on cash that the operating business is steadily using up. At June 30, 2026 the company held $11.5 million of cash and short-term investments (about $0.55 per share) and had no borrowings. Ahead of common shareholders sits $3.7 million of non-voting preferred stock (its liquidation value, about $0.17 per share), which leaves about $7.8 million, or $0.37 per share. Inventory, receivables and other current assets were about $6.3 million at June 30 (inventory alone was $4.1 million at March 31), against $1.6 million of total liabilities. The operating business does not earn money. We measure owner earnings as cash from operations after removing swings in receivables, inventory, payables and similar timing items, less stock compensation (none) and capital spending (almost none). On that basis owner earnings were negative in every year from fiscal 2018 through fiscal 2026, at -$0.23 and -$0.20 per share in the last two years. Only fiscal 2017 was positive, at $0.02. Fiscal 2026 revenue fell 41.5% to $6.3 million, mainly because Walmart dropped a clock radio, and product sales earned no gross profit (cost of sales $6.2 million against product sales of $5.9 million) while overhead was $5.0 million. Interest on the cash cushioned the loss; because we count the cash itself separately, we exclude that interest from the operating figures. We also excluded a one-time $3.3 million litigation deposit received in fiscal 2023 and the matching non-cash gain in fiscal 2024. On this basis the typical annual cash burn of the business is $4.2 million (the median of fiscal 2020 to 2026, the years since revenue settled in the $6 million to $11 million range). Fiscal 2026's burn was $4.8 million, 16% better than fiscal 2025's $5.7 million. Our base case assumes a 12% improvement to $4.2 million, which is below that recent trend, and no improvement after that, because we credit improvement only where it has been demonstrated repeatedly. How we value it. Because operations consume cash, we value the company as its cash less the preferred, less the cost of running the business until the cash available to fund losses is gone, plus what the inventory and receivables would bring in a wind-down. We credit no growth: no contract or repeatable process points to a return to profit. Everything is discounted at 6%, and we assume the cash earns about 4% while it lasts (about what it earned in fiscal 2026) when estimating how long it lasts. Base case, about $0.13 per share. Losses of $4.2 million a year continue for about 1.9 years, until the cash left after the preferred is used up. The remaining inventory and other current assets then bring 70% of their $6.3 million value, after paying $1.6 million of liabilities. The operating business is worth about -$5.2 million (burn of -$7.7 million, wind-down recovery of +$2.5 million in today's terms). The company owes nothing to lenders and $3.7 million to the preferred. Cash of $11.5 million less $3.7 million less $5.2 million leaves about $2.6 million, or $0.13 per share. Bear case, about $0.06 per share. Losses run at the fiscal 2025 to 2026 average of $5.3 million a year, and the bankruptcy trustee of Home Easy (a co-defendant with Emerson Quiet Kool in the company's trademark case) wins its claim for return of the $4.1 million of deposits the company received; that claim is pending and its outcome is uncertain. The company also holds a $10.4 million judgment against those defendants, but both are in bankruptcy and we count none of it. The cash after the preferred and this payment lasts only about nine months. Inventory is large relative to sales, so we assume only 45% is recovered. The operating business is worth about -$2.6 million, the repayment costs about $4.0 million in today's terms, and the preferred takes $3.7 million, leaving about $1.2 million, or $0.06 per share. Bull case, about $0.17 per share. The quarter ended June 30, 2026 showed an operating loss of $0.69 million against $1.31 million a year earlier, driven by lower overhead. If that pace holds ($2.7 million a year), the cash lasts about three years, the trustee's claim fails and 90% of inventory and other assets is recovered. The operating business is worth about -$4.2 million, so after the $3.7 million preferred about $3.6 million remains, or $0.17 per share. We use only one quarter of improvement here, which is why it sits in the bull case and not the base. For context, if operations stopped today the shares would be entitled to roughly $0.50 each (cash after the preferred plus 70% of other current assets net of liabilities). Each year the company keeps running at its typical loss costs about $0.20 per share of that, which is why the cases are lower than that figure. This would prove wrong on the upside if the board and the controlling shareholder wound the company down or returned cash soon, or if new licensing deals produced meaningful contracted income; neither is in evidence, so neither is credited. It would prove wrong on the downside if losses widen again, inventory sells for less than assumed, or the trustee's claim is larger than the deposits. The company has not paid a dividend since 2014. Change since our previous view (August 2026: about $0.00, $0.10 and $0.74 for the bear, base and bull cases). The earlier bull case assumed the business would turn profitable by year ten; nothing in the filings supports that, so it has been removed. The bear case is now above zero because we assume the company stops when the cash after the preferred runs out rather than burning past it. We tested our assumptions against specific facts: the newest quarter improves on the loss pattern (used only in the bull case), and inventory of $4.1 million against $6.2 million of annual cost of sales argues for recovering well under full value. We reviewed the latest quarterly figures but not the narrative of that quarterly report, so the current status of the Home Easy claim beyond the annual report's description could not be confirmed.

Chart analysis
The filings contain no price history, so this describes the structure a chartist would look for rather than specific price levels. Emerson Radio (NYSE American: MSN) is a sub-dollar micro-cap with about 21 million shares, roughly 72% of them held by one controlling shareholder, so the tradable float is only about 5.8 million shares. The company reported the market value of shares held by outsiders at about $2.6 million at September 30, 2025. A stock this thin typically trades in long, low-volume ranges with occasional sharp, poorly supported spikes, and a chartist would treat breakouts with suspicion until volume confirms them. The longer-term picture is a persistent downtrend that has tracked the shrinking balance sheet: shareholders' equity fell from $26.2 million at March 31, 2024 to $17.2 million at March 31, 2026 as losses drained cash. A chartist would look for support near the cash-per-share area and would want to see a series of higher lows on rising volume before calling the downtrend over.
