MNTN runs a self-serve advertising platform that lets brands, mostly small and mid-sized e-commerce and direct-to-consumer companies, buy performance-measured ads on streaming television. Revenue is usage-based and is recorded net of what MNTN pays for ad inventory: about $290 million in 2025 (up 29%), with gross profit of about $224 million, and $156 million in the first half of 2026 (up 17.5%). The QuickFrame marketplace supplies ad creative. Maximum Effort Marketing, the creative agency, was sold on April 1, 2025, and this is why creative revenue fell. What we measured. We compute owner earnings as operating cash flow, minus working-capital swings, minus stock compensation (treated as a real cost), minus the part of capitalized software spending needed just to maintain the platform. For 2025 that is about $30.7 million after interest. 2024 was about negative $4.9 million. The company went public in May 2025, repaid its convertible notes and has no borrowings today, so we value the business's cash flow before interest and then add cash. Interest income on the cash pile is removed from the earnings stream so that the cash is not counted twice. On that basis 2025 business cash flow was about $25 million. Only two years of full-year filings exist, and 2024 (before the IPO, with the convertible debt in place) does not describe the business as it stands, so we anchor on 2025. Trailing actual earnings growth cannot be measured because 2024 was negative, so year one of the base case assumes no growth. What we credited and left out. MNTN has no contracts locking in spend, customers are billed by usage, and the operating record is about four years with no downturn to test it. The 63% rise in active customers in 2025 was offset by falling average spend per customer, and revenue growth has slowed from 29% to 17.5% in the first half of 2026. We therefore credit no growth in any case. Earnings improved sharply in the first half of 2026 (roughly $15 million of business cash flow excluding interest income, against about negative $11 million a year earlier), mostly because IPO-related stock compensation fell from $21.7 million to $12.6 million. We treat that as supporting the 2025 level but not lifting the base case. Bear case, about $3.38 per share. Business cash flow settles at about $10 million a year (the midpoint of 2024 and 2025, since falling spend per customer and unproven staying power could push results back toward 2024), holds five years, then fades to zero over eight more. The business is worth about $66 million; it owes nothing; cash of about $200 million above operating needs takes the total to about $266 million. Base case, about $5.55 per share. Business cash flow stays at about $25 million a year for ten years with no growth, then fades to zero over another ten, since nothing in the filings shows what sustains earnings past that. The business is worth about $237 million; it owes nothing; with about $200 million of excess cash the total is about $437 million, or about 78.7 million shares. Bull case, about $8.64 per share. Business cash flow holds at about $51 million a year, the level achieved over the four quarters through June 2026 (second half of 2025 plus first half of 2026, which benefits from the strong fourth quarter). We do not assume growth beyond it. It holds ten years and then fades over ten. The business is worth about $480 million; it owes nothing; with cash the total is about $680 million. Debt and cash. There are no borrowings. The $50 million asset-backed revolver with Western Alliance Bank (undrawn, matures May 2029, SOFR plus 3%) has a quick-ratio covenant but does not affect any case. Cash was $237 million at June 30, 2026; we count about $200 million as excess and keep roughly two months of operating costs in the business. Cash is over 45% of the base value, so results are less about the advertising business than about whether earnings stay positive. What would make this wrong. Sustained earnings well above $25 million would push value toward the bull case. Steady cuts to what customers spend, a slowdown in streaming-TV advertising, or stock compensation rising again would push toward the bear case. About $9.6 million was lent to the buyer of Maximum Effort Marketing, and the company still uses Maximum Effort's creative services under a new agreement. The 2025 statements could not be fully reconciled line by line because several non-cash items are tagged ambiguously, but the total ties to within 0.1%.

Chart analysis
MNTN listed on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2025, so its price history is only a little over a year long. That is too short for a chartist to identify reliable long-term trends, multi-year support or resistance, or a completed base. A technician would focus on the post-IPO trading range, the first-day and early-lock-up-expiry volume, and whether the shares hold above their IPO-period lows; any read would be tentative until more history accumulates.
