Lexeo Therapeutics is a clinical-stage gene therapy company developing single-dose treatments for genetic heart disease. Its lead candidate, LX2006, targets the heart disease caused by Friedreich ataxia and is in the SUNRISE-FA Phase 1/2 trial; the company reported encouraging interim data in October 2025 and again in March 2026, and planned to begin a registrational study (SUNRISE-FA 2) in the first half of 2026 after FDA feedback on the design. A second candidate, LX2020, targets PKP2 arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy and reported positive interim data in January 2026, with a fuller update expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company has no product on the market and has never had product revenue. What the business earns today: it consumes cash. Our measure of owner earnings (operating cash flow, less working-capital swings, less stock-based compensation, less maintenance capital spending) was about negative $64 million in 2023, negative $97 million in 2024 and negative $102 million in 2025, or roughly negative $1.89 per share in 2025 (the 2023 per-share figure is distorted by the November 2023 IPO and the small weighted share count). The loss deepened about 5% in 2025 versus 2024. For the first half of 2026 operating cash burn was $38.7 million versus $48.9 million a year earlier, and stock compensation was $8.4 million, which puts the annual pace near $94 million on our basis. Because the anchor is a persistent loss, this is not a business we can value on earnings; it is a pool of cash being spent on research. The company carries no borrowings other than about $0.6 million of finance leases, so debt is not a factor. What we credit and what we leave out: we credit only what is in hand. At June 30, 2026 the company held about $234 million of cash and U.S. Treasury securities (cash $92.8 million, current Treasuries $118.9 million, non-current Treasuries $22.5 million) against roughly 85.6 million shares including pre-funded warrants, or about $2.73 per share. Management states its cash funds operations into 2028. We assign zero value to the pipeline. The interim data are early, uncontrolled and from small groups, no product has been approved, no partnership or milestone payment is signed, and the registrational trial had not yet produced results; none of this meets the standard of a secured or repeatedly proven source of future earnings. We also count no benefit from the roughly 13.9 million warrants issued in the October 2025 financing, which would add cash if exercised but also add shares. Because the business consumes cash and nothing evidenced comes back, each case is the story of how much of the $234 million is left when the money runs out or spending stops. The business's own cash flow is a negative stream (here business cash flow before interest is effectively the same as owner earnings, as interest paid is only about $0.1 million a year), discounted at 6%, plus a modest wind-down cost of about $10 million (severance, lease exit and trial close-out), subtracted from the cash on hand. Base case: annual burn of about $94 million on our basis (the current pace), for two years until the mid-2028 end of the stated runway, then a wind-down. Business value is about negative $181 million; cash net of finance leases is about $233 million; the difference is roughly $52 million, or about $0.60 per share. Year one assumes the loss is no larger than 2025's; it is about 7% smaller, reflecting the lower first-half 2026 burn. Bear case: the registrational trial adds cost, and burn rises to about $110 million a year, above the $102 million of 2025, for the same two years. Business value is about negative $211 million against $233 million of cash, leaving about $22 million, or about $0.26 per share. The bear case also reflects that any further funding would likely be raised at a dilutive price. Bull case: the burn discipline already visible in the first half of 2026 (down about 21% in operating cash flow year on year) continues, taking the annual pace to about $80 million for two years. Business value is about negative $156 million against $233 million of cash, leaving about $77 million, or about $0.90 per share. In plain terms: on the evidence in hand, every case values the company at well below its June 2026 cash balance, because the cash is being spent and no future income is contracted or proven. The cases are close together because the real swing factor, whether LX2006 or LX2020 succeeds in registrational trials and reaches the market, cannot be supported by anything that exists today and is therefore excluded from all three. This valuation would be wrong if either program produces clear registrational-quality data or a signed partnership that pays for development; that outcome could be worth far more than these figures, but it is a possibility, not something we can price. It would also be wrong on the downside if the company must raise money at much lower share prices, which would dilute holders below these figures. Owner earnings in 2022 are not shown because the company was still private that year. The margin-of-safety price is about $0.22 per share, set well below these figures given the high uncertainty.

Chart analysis
Lexeo has been listed on the Nasdaq Global Market only since November 3, 2023, so the chart has a short history. A chartist would see a typical post-IPO clinical-stage biotech: an early period of selling pressure, followed by sharp, news-driven moves around clinical data releases and financings, with new equity raises (May 2025 private placement, October 2025 offering) acting as recurring supply that caps rallies. With no earnings to anchor the price, trading is dominated by catalysts and sentiment, so support and resistance levels tend to form around financing prices and data events rather than fundamentals. No specific price levels are asserted here.
