Business condition attached to the margin of safety A positive, statistically significant Phase 2b readout for KT-621 (BROADEN2 in atopic dermatitis or BREADTH in asthma) showing a credible path to registration, or an equivalent de-risking clinical event for another wholly-owned program.
Kymera Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company built around a single technology platform — targeted protein degradation — applied across several wholly-owned drug candidates and a handful of pharmaceutical partnerships. The company has no approved products and none are expected soon; every dollar of revenue today is a collaboration or license payment from a partner, chiefly Sanofi and, since June 2025, Gilead Sciences. Because there are no approved medicines, we have not assigned any value to the potential of the pipeline — including the company's most advanced wholly-owned program, an oral STAT6 degrader (KT-621) now in Phase 2b studies for atopic dermatitis and asthma — until a trial actually reads out and a regulator actually approves something. Clinical results are binary and cannot be inferred from what has happened so far; crediting them in advance would be speculation rather than valuation. What we do credit is what has already happened: cash the company has actually banked, and collaboration income it has actually billed or received. On that basis, essentially all of Kymera's value today is its cash and investments — about $1.62 billion at the end of 2025 — set against a business that has been spending faster than it takes in for years, with spending accelerating further as larger, more advanced trials of KT-621 get underway. There is no meaningful debt. In all three cases we modeled the company spending down that cash to fund its research program, crediting only collaboration income already earned and nothing for a hoped-for drug approval. In the base case, spending keeps growing through 2026 at a pace not far from 2025's roughly 40% increase — driven mainly by the new STAT6 trials — before decelerating as those trials finish enrolling; on that path, the cash on hand is used up by around 2029, matching the company's own stated runway. In the bear case, spending keeps accelerating for longer before leveling off, and the cash runs out roughly a year sooner. In the bull case, cost growth slows sooner and the cash lasts a bit longer. Because nearly the whole cash balance is spent within the years we can responsibly project in every case, the three estimates cluster tightly, around $2 per share — reflecting mostly the benefit of spending the cash over time rather than all at once, not any credit for the science working out. This will look very low next to how shares are likely priced in the market, because the market is pricing in some chance the pipeline succeeds — which this analysis deliberately does not do until there is real trial data. A positive, statistically significant Phase 2b readout for KT-621 (or another program) with a credible path to registration would be new, dated evidence that changes this picture and would warrant a fresh look. One item we could not fully square: the most recent quarterly revenue reported was well above the recent collaboration-revenue run rate. The company had disclosed that partner Sanofi planned to move a second IRAK4 drug candidate into clinical testing in 2026, which is a plausible, named explanation (a trial-start milestone payment), but we could not verify the exact amount or trigger from the underlying filing text, and a single quarter is not enough to lean on. We have not used it to raise the valuation, and it does not change the conclusion. Given how much of the value here still depends on drug trials that have not yet read out, the margin-of-safety price is set at a large discount to even the low bear-case estimate — roughly $1 per share — and would be revisited following a positive Phase 2b readout for KT-621 with a credible registration path.

Sales geography
Pre-commercial: all revenue is collaboration and license payments from pharmaceutical partners — Sanofi (France) and, since June 2025, Gilead Sciences (California, West). No commercial product sales exist.

Chart analysis
A chartist would describe this as a binary-catalyst biotech pattern rather than a smooth trend: sharp, gap-driven moves clustered around collaboration and clinical-trial news (the original 2021 Sanofi licensing deal, 2023 milestone announcements, the June 2025 Sanofi/KT-474 discontinuation alongside the new Gilead deal, and clinical readouts), separated by comparatively rangebound drift between events. Standard trend tools — moving averages, RSI, support/resistance — tend to break down around these gaps because the moves are driven by discrete news, so a technician would flag this as a name where chart levels are unreliable predictors across binary events.
