Immuneering is a clinical-stage oncology company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its lead drug candidate, atebimetinib, is an oral, once-daily MEK inhibitor being developed in combination with modified gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel for first-line pancreatic cancer. The company is initiating a global Phase 3 registrational trial (MAPKeeper 301), with the first patient expected to be dosed in mid-2026. It has no product revenue. Revenue was about $2.1 million in 2021, $0.3 million in 2022 and nil in 2023 through 2025. Owner earnings are negative every year. Per diluted share they were about -$3.50 in 2020, -$2.45 in 2021, -$1.91 in 2022, -$1.90 in 2023, -$2.02 in 2024 and -$1.26 in 2025. The smaller 2025 per-share loss mostly reflects a larger share count after the August 2025 private placement; the dollar loss narrowed only modestly. Operating cash burn was $45.3 million in 2025, and stock compensation of $6.3 million is treated as a real cost. Capital spending is trivial. The base case does not assume the 2025 improvement continues, because Phase 3 costs are rising. What the shares are worth. Nothing in the filings puts a positive earnings stream in the bag: there is no approved product and no royalty or licence income. Approval of atebimetinib depends on a trial that has not yet started dosing, so it is not credited in any case. What is evidenced is the cash: $217.0 million in cash and marketable securities at December 31, 2025, against 64.6 million shares outstanding (about $3.36 per share), which management says funds operations into 2029. Value to a shareholder is therefore the part of that cash that survives the spending. Bear case ($0.30 per share): the Phase 3 trial and supporting work consume most of the runway through 2029 and the trial fails to produce a filing, leaving little cash after wind-down costs. Base case ($1.00 per share): spending continues at a rising pace for roughly two to three years, then results or a strategic decision curtail spending, leaving about a third of today's cash per share. Bull case ($2.00 per share): spending stays disciplined and about 60 percent of today's cash per share remains at the end of the trial period. A successful trial is not credited because it is not yet evidenced. Management concluded that cash covers at least twelve months, so there is no going-concern warning. The company itself states that its cash will not be enough to complete development and commercialization, so further share issuance and dilution are likely. If atebimetinib succeeds in Phase 3 the shares could be worth far more than these cases, but the filings do not yet provide evidence for that outcome.
