Corsair Gaming sells PC gaming and streaming hardware. It has two segments: Gamer and Creator Peripherals (keyboards, mice, headsets, Elgato streaming gear, SCUF controllers, and Fanatec racing gear acquired in September 2024) and Gaming Components and Systems (memory, power supplies, cooling, cases and prebuilt PCs). Revenue was 1.47 billion dollars in 2025, up from 1.32 billion in 2024. Roughly 43% of sales are in the United States. What the business really earns. We measure earnings as cash from operations, minus swings in inventory, receivables and payables, minus stock-based compensation, minus the part of capital spending needed just to keep the business running. On that basis, per-share earnings were about 1.60 dollars in 2020 and 1.35 dollars in 2021, when pandemic-era demand was unusually strong, then fell to a loss of 0.45 dollars in 2022 as demand collapsed and inventory was worked down. Since then they have been 0.34 dollars in 2023, a loss of 0.26 dollars in 2024, and 0.24 dollars in 2025. Stock-based compensation of about 33 million dollars a year is large relative to the roughly 50 million dollars of operating cash flow, and we treat it as a real cost. About 40 million dollars a year of intangible amortization from past acquisitions is a non-cash charge that is already excluded from cash flow. We did not adjust the earnings level for it. Instead the cases assume no growth in the base case, and the fade in later years reflects that acquired brands and technology wear down unless refreshed. Starting point. We use 0.24 dollars per share, the median of 2023 to 2025. We excluded 2020 and 2021 because pandemic demand has since reversed. We also excluded 2022 as the trough of a deliberate inventory clearance, and note that including it would pull the starting point close to zero. Earnings moved from a loss of 0.26 dollars to a profit of 0.24 dollars in the latest year, which is a recovery rather than a growth trend, so the base case assumes no growth in year one. One caution: 2025 revenue growth in components partly came from higher memory prices in the latter part of the year, which is a condition that may not last. The company also said demand for gaming peripherals and furniture in North America was lower in the second half of 2025. Base case, about 2.30 dollars per share. Earnings stay at 0.24 dollars for ten years, then fade gradually to zero over the following ten years. No growth is credited: nothing in the filings locks in higher volumes or margins, and Fanatec, creator products and new launches have not yet shown a repeatable earnings record. We credit durability only because the brands, distribution and product cycles have sustained the business through the 2022 to 2024 downturn without a going-concern issue, and long-term debt of about 115 million dollars at the end of 2025 is manageable. Bear case, about 0.13 dollars per share. A repeat of the 2024 loss (0.26 dollars) and a further weak year at minus 0.10 dollars, driven by weak North American demand and reversal of memory pricing, then only 0.10 dollars a year for four years before fading to zero. The 2022 and 2024 loss years show this is a realistic outcome. Debt and a controlling shareholder, EagleTree, which owns about 53% of the stock and can direct board and corporate decisions, add to the downside. Bull case, about 4.42 dollars per share. Earnings recover to 0.35 dollars in year two and 0.50 dollars from year three, held for ten years and then faded over ten years. That level is roughly one third of the 2020 to 2021 peak and is reachable if the Fanatec acquisition contributes a full year and the creator segment keeps growing as it did in 2025. We did not assume a return to the pandemic peak. What would make this wrong. If stock-based compensation keeps rising faster than cash generation, or if the 2025 recovery in earnings proves to have depended on temporary memory pricing, the base case is too high. If earnings settle back near the 2022 to 2025 median of roughly zero, the shares would be worth little. Because earnings are thin relative to the cost of running the business, small changes in margins move the value a lot, so the margin-of-safety price is set at 0.90 dollars per share, about 60% below the base case value. Note: we could not reconcile the 2025 net loss reported in the cash flow statement (14.965 million dollars) with the slightly different net loss figure in the tagged financial data (16.159 million dollars); this does not affect the cash-flow-based measure used above.
