Business condition attached to the margin of safety A signed follow-on financing on non-punitive terms or a GSK milestone payment that extends cash runway beyond 2028 without heavy dilution.
CAMP4 Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing RNA-targeted medicines from its regulatory RNA platform. It has no product sales. Revenue was $3.5 million in 2025 (mostly recognised from a collaboration and license agreement with GlaxoSmithKline signed in 2025: $17.5 million upfront, up to $440 million in development and commercial milestones, none of which is recognised because they are fully uncertain) against a cash burn of roughly $30 million from operations. Adjusting for the timing of the GSK upfront, which flattered 2025 cash flow by about $13 million, the underlying operating loss after stock compensation was about $47 million in 2025 and $48 million in 2024, or about $(1.53) per share for 2025. The business does not produce owner earnings today, and nothing in the filings lets us credit a date when it will. Cash was $86.4 million at June 30, 2026 (about $1.49 per share on roughly 58 million shares), down from $109.5 million at year end. At the recent burn rate of about $24 million per half-year, that funds roughly two years. Bear case ($0 per share): the burn consumes the cash, further financing is heavily dilutive or unavailable, and no pipeline program produces a licensable asset. Shareholders are left with little or nothing. Base case ($0.40): we credit no revenue growth or milestone, because none is contracted beyond what is already recognised. The value is what remains of the cash for existing shareholders after funding operations and the dilution needed to keep going. Bull case ($1.10): the company's own levers work, with the GSK collaboration advancing so that milestone payments, which are contractually defined but whose amounts and timing are not disclosed, reduce the need to raise capital. We did not credit the headline $440 million of potential milestones because none is secured and each depends on clinical and commercial outcomes not yet achieved. What would make this wrong: a large licensing deal or a clinical readout could be worth far more than cash, and the model deliberately gives that no value until it is evidenced. Conversely, a financing on poor terms would push the outcome toward the bear case. Note that per-share figures for 2024 are distorted by the October 2024 IPO, so the share count was much smaller for most of that year.
